WC football awaits Clay County

The Washington County football team will look to rebound from an opening-week loss, when they head to Marion County on Saturday to take on Clay County (0-1) at 5:30 p.m. in the Heart of Kentucky Pigskin Classic. The game will be the first of a doubleheader and will precede Green County versus Marion County, scheduled for 8 p.m.

Clay County struggled in 2011, posting a 1-10 record, but Washington County Head Coach Eric Sagrecy said the Tigers are experienced and have size up front.
