When the Washington County Commanders tennis team faces off in the Heartland Conference Tournament this week, freshman Chase Drury will be sitting in the driver’s seat after securing the number-one seed in the boys’ singles portion of the event.
Drury claimed the spot after going undefeated for the entirety of the regular season, which ended last Wednesday.
In that match, a home contest for the Commanders against the Adair County Indians, WC outperformed their foes by winning three of the evening’s five total matches.
