The family of the late Harry and Juanita Turner celebrated a get-together and a potluck Christmas meal at the home of Brenda Russell in Harrodsburg. Those in attendance were Norman and Betty Turner of Texas, Wilma Turner and sons, Leland and Lynden Turner of Mackville, Joe and Beverly Hays of Perryville, Lisa Beasley and sons, Evan and Jason of Richmond, Timmy and Paula Russell and daughter, Beth of Mackville, Beth’s boyfriend, Michael Swartz of Harrodsburg, formerly of Hawaii.
Beech Grove Baptist Church got a special treat Sunday morning. Billy Burns of Logan Road played several Christmas songs on his harmonica to the congregation.
Anna Mae Coyle got a surprise for her birthday Sunday. Her husband, Dalton, son, Terry and Mona Lisa Coyle, granddaughter, Brittany Coyle and Mary Mayes took Anna Mae to Mordecai’s for a delicious meal. Grandson Jeremy and Amber Coyle sent her a dozen red roses to her home in honor of her birthday.
Norma Goode was the weekend guest of Lynn and Rebecca Petrey in Richmond Sunday evening. Great-grandparent, Norma Goode and Carolyn Petrey, along with grandmother, Elaine Hurst enjoyed the delightful youth Christmas play at Eastside Community Church. Madelynn and Tate Petrey were participants.
The oldest Ladies Sunday School Class of Bethlehem Church enjoyed a Christmas time lunch at the Stephen Foster restaurant in Bardstown on Wednesday. Attending were Brenda Carpenter, Helen Russell, Ruth Hays, Callie Inman, Sue Peters, Jean Esper, Doris Purdom and Norma Goode.
