Emergency personnel responded to Mount Zion Road on Nov. 11 around 11:30 p.m. to an injury accident, according to a sheriff’s department report released Thursday of last week.

According to the report, Twymon Ray, of 2891 Brush Grove Road, was traveling north on Mount Zion Road and ran off the highway into a ditch. Ray then traveled 60 feet before hitting a fence, flipped twice while tumbling down the fence 130 feet. Ray’s vehicle landed on its wheels and Ray was ejected from the vehicle out the driver’s window. He landed approximately 15 yards from the truck.
Ray was air lifted to University of Louisville Hospital, but is now out of the hospital.
According to the report, evidence collected at the scene indicates alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
