  • ENGAGEMENT: Ruley-Nalley

    Rob-Ann Mattingly and Thomas Bruce Mattingly of Loretto announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Hannah N. Ruley, to Scotty Nalley, son of Patricia and James Leon Nalley II of Springfield.
    Ruley is a 2005 graduate of Marion County High School and a graduate of Louisville Dental Academy. She is employed at Hedgespeth Family Dental in Bardtown.
    Nalley is a 2005 graduate of Washington County High School. He is employed at Nalleys Exhaust & Brake in Loretto.

  • ENGAGEMENT: Wheatley-McQueen

    Amanda Jo Wheatley and Kristopher Cannon McQueen of Maryland announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
    Wheatley is the daughter of Julie Wheatley Wagner, and the late Marion Wheatley.
    McQueen is the son of Charles and Melody Long, and the late Larry McQueen.
    The wedding will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The reception will follow at Holy Trinity.

     

  • ENGAGEMENT: Mattingly, Smith to exchange vows

    Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Mattingly of Lebanon announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jenna Mattingly, to Joe David Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Smith of Springfield.  
    Mattingly is a 2002 graduate of Marion County High School, a 2006 graduate of Campbellsville University with a bachelor’s degree, a 2009 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a master’s degree, and a 2011 graduate of Campbellsville University with a Rank 1.  She is employed with the Washington County Board of Education.  

  • BIRTH: Paradis: It's a boy!

    Al and Jamie Grider Paradis of Louisville announce the birth of their son on July 1, 2011, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville.
    James Fischer Paradis weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20.75 inches in length.
    He was welcomed home by a sister, Lilly Paradis, age 3.
    Maternal grandparents are Mary Tom Grider of Springfield, and the late James W. Grider.
    Paternal grandparents are Jay Paradis of Goshen, Ky., and the late Barbara Fischer Paradis.

  • BIRTH: Roution: It's a girl!

    Annie and Scotty Roution of Springfield announce the birth of their daughter on June 12, 2011, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
    Anna Rose Roution weighed 7 pounds, 14.5 ounces and was 20 inches in length.
    She was welcomed home by a brother, Thomas, age 2.
    Maternal grandparents are Teddy and Rose Marylyn Boone of Springfield.
    Paternal grandparents are Rocky and Karen Roution of Mackville.

  • BIRTH: Green: It's a girl!

    Michael and Erin Spalding-Green announce the birth of an 8 pound, 10.5 ounce daughter, Olivia Tatum, born May 5, 2011, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
    Maternal grandparents are Richard and Karen Spalding of Springfield.
    Paternal grandparents are Tony and Janice Green of Lebanon.
    Great-grandparents are Eleanor Caldwell and Sammy and Geraldine Spalding, all of Lebanon, and Linda Nally of Fredericktown.

  • BIRTH: Walker: It's a boy!

    Joshua and Jacqueline Walker announce the birth of their son on May 27, 2011.
    Colin Patrick weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 18.5 inches in length.
    He was welcomed home by a brother, Ethan, age 3.
    Maternal grandparents are Larry and Betty Nell Hamilton.
    Paternal grandparents are Eric and Maura Walker.
    Paternal great-grandparents are Bob and Ann Walker.

    Jenny Cassley and Chip and Becky Sharp of Lancaster, Ohio, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miranda Denise Sharp to Blake David Dean, son of Penny and Darrell Dean of Willisburg.
    Sharp is a 2006 graduate of Lancaster High School and a graduate of St. Catharine College of Nursing. She is employed at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville.
    Dean is a 2005 graduate of Washington County High School and a graduate of Bluegrass Technical School. He is employed at Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Ky.
