    Martin and Mary Jane Burns of Springfield announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Megan Marie Burns, to Aaron Russell Kegley, son of Bradley and Sharon Kegley of Vanceburg, Ky.

  • NUPTIALS - Wheatley, Arnold wed

     

    Nicole Wheatley and Jimmy Arnold were wed at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2012 at St. Rose Church in Springfield.

  • BIRTHS - Cambron: It’s a girl!

     

    Tina and Nick Cambron of  Springfield announce the birth of their daughter at 8:04 a.m. on Sept. 18, 2012 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville.


    Ava Grace weighed 8 pounds and was 18 inches in length.
    Maternal grandparents are Chip and Janice Vize of Springfield.
    Paternal grandparents are Joe and Carolyn Cambron of Springfield.

  • BIRTH - Lewis: It’s a girl!

     

    Dallas and Lee Ann Lewis of Willisburg announce the birth of their daughter at 9:51 a.m. on June 23, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.


    Kendall Lee weighed 6 pounds, 14.8 ounces and was 20 inches in length.
    She was welcomed home by a sister, Kylee, age 4.
    Maternal grandparents are Roy and Sherry Boblitt of Willisburg.
    Paternal grandparents are Terry and Cindy Lewis of Willisburg.

  • ENGAGEMENT: Reed - Burns

     

    Keith and Jackie Reed of Springfield announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Hollie Reed, to Tony Burns, son of Kenny and Michelle Burns of Harrodsburg.

  • NUPTIALS - Browning, Goatley wed

     

    Jerrica Browning and John Robert Goatley were wed at 6 p.m. on July 13, 2012 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Lebanon.

  • Hill initiated into Kappa Delta Pi at Campbellsville

     

    Kelly Hill of Springfield was initiated into Kappa Delta Pi, international honor society in education at Campbellsville University on Oct. 7.

    At left is Dr. Donna Hedgepath, associate professor of education, associate dean and chair of the undergraduate program. At right is Alena Maggard, president of CU’s Kappa Delta Pi chapter.

  • Smith wins top U.S. Bank company award

     

    Crystal N. Smith, branch manager who works at U.S. Bank’s office at Loretto, has won U.S. Bank’s Pinnacle Award, the company’s highest employee achievement honor.

  • Whites to celebrate 50 years of marriage

     

    Bill and Brenda White will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at the Willisburg Christian Church Fellowship Hall.


    They are the parents of four sons: Reid (Wendy) White of South Carolina, Tommy White, David (Donna) White and Darnell (Hollie) White, all of Willisburg; and 10 grandchildren.
    All friends and family are  invited to attend.

  • Morans to celebrate 70 years of marriage

     

    William Marshall and Dorothea Lee Moran will celebrate 70 years of marriage on Oct. 21, 2012.


    William farmed several years after marriage, and in 1955 went to work at General Electric Appliance Park, retiring in 1989.
    Dorothea worked for Dr. R.A. Hamilton for 30 years and retired in 1988.
    They have lived in the Lincoln Park community for most of their married life.
    They have two children, Ronald Moran and Marsha (Moran) Garner.
    They also have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
