  • BIRTH: Hamilton: It’s a girl!

    Todd Hamilton and Kara Rucker of Bardstown announce the birth of their daughter at 2:57 a.m. Dec. 17, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.

    Vivian Mae Hamilton weighed 8 pounds, 8.3 ounces and was 20.75 inches in length.
    Maternal grandparents are June and Geri Rucker of Lebanon.
    Paternal grandparents are Nick and Sherry Hamilton of Springfield.
    Great-grandparents are Frances Rucker of Lebanon, Maurice and Rose Smith of Springfield and Violet Hamilton of Springfield, and the late James A. Hamilton.

  • BIRTH: Glasscock: It's a girl!

    Joslin Belle Glasscock, daughter of Nathan and Jessica Glasscock of Danville was born Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center at 4:22 a.m.
    She weighed 7.12 pounds and was 20 inches in length.  
    Maternal Grandparents are Joe and Linda Terrell of Mackville.  
    Paternal Grandparents are Lee and Wanda Glasscock of Lebanon.

  • BIRTH: Dean: It's a boy!

    Marcus and Jill Dean of Lexington announce the birth of their son on Nov. 13, 2010 at 10 p.m. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.  
    Carter Bryce Dean weighed 6 lbs, 15 oz and was 20 inches in length.
    Maternal grandparents are Lee and Wanda Glasscock of Lebanon.  
    Paternal grandparents are Darrell and Penny Dean of Willisburg and Darlene Dean of Louisville.

  • BIRTH: Harris: It's a girl!

    Patricia Harris and Wayne Harris of Elkhorn announce the birth of their daughter on Nov. 23, 2010 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
    Katherine Alice Harris weighed 4 pounds, 7 ounces and was 17.5 inches in length.
    She was welcomed home by a sister, Gabrielle England, age 8.
    Maternal grandparents are Joe Mayberry and Kathy Thompson of Wisconsin.
    Paternal grandparents are Barbra and Bobby Curry of Campbellsville, and the late Martin Harris.

  • WEDDING: Isham, Brown exchange vows

    Barbara “Barbie” Daye Isham and Michael “Mike” Wayne Brown were wed on March 20, 2010 at New Harmony Baptist Church in Mackville.
    She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Tammy Isham of Mackville.
    He is the son of Mike and Melissa Brown and Paula Brown of Harrodsburg.
    Bro. Barry officiated.
    The maid of honor was Ashley Hagan of Mackville. Bridesmaids were Lyndi Hagan of Campbellsville, Lisa Harrison of Burgin and Robin Jones of Harrodsburg. Serving as flower girls were RaiLee Hagan and MicKinley Jones.

    Crystal and Robert Hawkins of Willisburg announce the birth of their son on Sept. 1, 2010 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
    Isaiah Andrew Hawkins weighed 9 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21 inches in length.
    He was welcomed home by sisters, Abigail, age 9 and Gracie, age 6.
    Maternal grandmother is Betty Hardin of Willisburg.
    Paternal grandparents are Linda and Kenny Peach of Lawrenceburg and Rodney Hawkins of Hustonville.

  • WEDDING: Lee, Smalley wed

    Donna Walker Lee and Clay Marshall Smalley Jr. were wed Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Almost Heaven Resort Chapel in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
    She is the daughter of Sarah Della Walker of Springfield, and the late Joseph Paul Walker Jr.
    He is the son of Rosetta Smalley of Springfield, and the late Clay Marshall Smalley Sr.
    The Rev. Dr. Mike Simpson officiated.
    The couple will reside in Bowling Green, Ky.

    Rachel Katherine Reed and Alan Barnett Hurst were wed Sept. 4, 2010 at Bowen First Church of God, Stanton, Ky.
    She is the daughter of Mike and Vicki Reed and he is the son of Donald and Elaine Hurst, all of Stanton, Ky.
    Grandmothers of the groom are Norma E. Goode of the Texas Community and Mary A. Hurst of Springfield.
    Officiating the wedding vows was the groom’s uncle, Hal B. Goode.
    Maid of honor was Anna Nell Reed, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jessica Jones, Katy DeHart, Abigail Riddle and Rebecca Petrey, sister of the groom.
