    Gabriel Jeremiah weighed 9 pounds and was 19.5 inches in length. 
    He was welcomed home by a sister, Gabrielle Joy.
    Maternal grandparents are James and Betty Burkhead of Willisburg. 
    Paternal grandparents are Allen and Julia Thompson of Chaplin. 
    Maternal great-grandparents are the late Olson and Effie Scott and the late Bud and Myrtle Burkhead. 

  • Rita and Everett (Hop) Riley of Springfield announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Emily Riley, to Nick Cunningham, son of Libby and Ned Cunningham of Russell Springs, Ky.
    Riley is a 2004 graduate of Washington County High School and a graduate of Elizabethtown Community & Technical College. She is employed at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville as a registered nurse in ICU.

  • Heather Roby and Wesley Carrico were wed at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2010 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Springfield.
    She is the daughter of Bruce and Marcia Roby of Hancock County, Ky.
    He is the son of Forrest and Faye Carrico of Springfield.
    The double-ring ceremony was performed by Father Culpepper Elliott.
    The maids of honor were Rebecca Sexton and Brittany Hamilton. Bridesmaids were Andrea Carrico, Katie Thomas and Michelle Simon. Serving as flower girl was Morgan Roby, niece of the bride.

  • Hope Renee Mitchell and Charles Brian Curtsinger were united in marriage July 21, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. on the beach in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Samuel Blowes was the officiant. A reception followed at the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort in the Forum room overlooking the gulf.
    The bride is the daughter of Stuart and Pam Mitchell of Willisburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Charles and Lois Griffieth and the late Vance and Gerri Bishop.
