    Concert
    A musical concert and homemade ice cream social will be held at the Springfield Nursing and Rehab Center Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.  Bring a chair and enjoy some great music by Mary Kutter Osborne.  All music lovers are invited to join us.

    Trash collection
    Due to the Monday holiday, all Rumpke services for this week will be delayed by one day. Rumpke will operate Tuesday, Sept. 2 through Saturday Sept. 6.

    Fair Board meeting
    There will be a Washington County Fair Board meeting on Sept. 4, at 5 p.m.  at the WC Extension Office.
    Anyone interested in helping out with this year’s fair or would like to join the fair board are invited to attend.

    Springfield United Methodist Church will be hosting a free community meal at the Wesley Center located at 301 East Main St. in Springfield at 5:30 p.m.  This meal is for anyone looking to have a wholesome hot meal with old & new friends as well as providing a greater connection to our neighborhood, our town, and our Washington County Community.

    Revival
    Mt. Freedom Baptist Church, 1088 Cardwell Road., will host a revival Friday and Saturday. Aug. 22-24 at 7 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. There will be special music each day.     The meeting will be Aug. 20 at BJ’s in Bardstown. Meetings are open to all touched by Parkinson’s including patient, caregiver, family and friends.
