    Accepting Used Sporting Equipment

    Springfield Presbyterian Church Mission Store, Heavenly Treasures, is accepting used sporting equipment to be donated to needy children. Donations may be dropped off at the store on East Main Street in Springfield, next door to the church, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Donations may be dropped off at the store on East Main Street in Springfield, next door to the church, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    Summer Feeding Program

    The Washington County Board of Education is participating in the Summer Food Service Program from May 30 – July 28.  Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.  Hot lunch meals will be provided at the site and time listed below:

    The Washington County Conservation District is giving away wildlife seed mix. The mixture consists of sunflowers, millet, soybeans and sorghum. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The office is located at 461 Lincoln Drive in Springfield. Call (859) 336-7777 ext. 3 for more information.

    Farmers Market

    The city of Springfield is seeking vendors for the Farmers Market for the upcoming season.  Applications to register with details are available at City Hall, 127 West Main Street, or by emailing springfieldcity1@gmail.com.  Market opens then end of May and runs through October for Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons.  Direct inquiries to city hall at (859) 336-5440.
