Five Washington County High School students were selected to participate in the Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP) last summer. They are Candace Kimball, Callah Kimball, Will Begley, David Haydon and Maegen Satterly.

The Kentucky Wheelers, with Dan Kelly, have been entertaining crowds all over Washington County over the last year, and this Friday they’re looking to pack the Springfield Opera House for a concert and the release of their debut album.

If you look around at a class of 25 high school students, four are likely to have considered suicide and three are likely to have tried to commit suicide in the past year, according to statistics presented at North Washington Elementary School on Thursday.
