A Washington County man was indicted in Marion County for his alleged role in the sexual abuse of a child.
Christopher Grigsby, 30, of Bardstown Road in Springfield, was indicted for  first-degree rape (victim under 12, two counts), first-degree sodomy (victim under 12, four counts), first-degree sexual abuse (victim under 12) and incest (victim under 18, six counts).

A Washington County man was injured in a motorcycle accident near Loretto in Marion County Sunday morning.
According to a report from the Kentucky State Police, Charles Sagracy, 64, of Springfield, was riding a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle about a mile west of Loretto at the junction of KY 527 and KY 52 at 12:09 a.m. Sunday. Sagracy was traveling north on KY 527 when he attempted to avoid another vehicle, the report said. He lost control of the motorcycle and came to rest in the road.

In less than a month, nearly 1,500 pairs of Flaggy Meadow’s rugged yet comfortable socks have been sent to American troops serving in the Middle East through a grassroots volunteer organization called the Alpaca Sock Brigade.
