A Washington County man has entered a guilty plea in connection with a 2009 murder-for-hire case.
Ryan Dean, 21, of Mackville, pleaded guilty Wednesday, Sept. 8, to soliciting a murder for hire, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney David J. Hale of the Western District of Kentucky.
Dean admitted that in June 2009, he sought to have a murder committed, and solicited an undercover Kentucky State Police deterctive to commit the murder. In exchange, Dean promised to pay the undercover officer by giving him 10 pounds of marijuana.
