The Springfield Lions Club feels compelled to respond to the recent article concerning the operation of the concession stand at Idle Hour Park.
The Lions Club is a service club and our motto is “We Serve.”
We are a small group of approximately 20 men and women who operate the concession stand at the park as a part of our service to the community.
We have been extending this courtesy to the community for over 25 years.
The Lions Club has never had a written agreement with the city.
