Children of Washington County, I need your help!
I’ve done a lot of crazy things in my lifetime, but probably the wildest was substituting for Santa Claus for one night about 23 years ago.
We believe that shopping locally this holiday season (and year-round) is imperative to maintaining and growing the local economic landscape.
It’s not always a good thing to be at the top of a list.
My God, my God, where has the time gone.
Less funding for schools. No employee pay raises. Service cutbacks for people in need. Construction projects cancelled. Job-creating programs put on hold. Still higher college tuition.
Recently Billy Webb, the husband of our circulation manager and bookkeeper, Renee Webb, dropped off a copy of the November issue of The Kentucky Explorer.
“The best thing about high school was a wonderful teacher named Sister Agatha. Actually, she was much more than a teacher, for whenever I had a problem, I would go to her.”
As I write this, it’s the morning of Election Day. The polls have been open for an hour-and-a-half.
This year between 30 and 40 million Americans will sell a used car. I’m one of them; I just parted with my old car.
