Stewart Young knew that his role would be changing this season. He knew he would be the lone senior on Washington County’s tennis team this year, and that meant he would be thrust into a leadership role, ready or not.
“Being the only senior, I just tried to set a better example for everybody else,” Young said. “I did that by showing respect, showing them how to play the game.”
And, according to his head coach, Scotty Burns, those lessons were effective from the start.
