    The St. Catharine College baseball team will hold a Christmas camp in Lourdes Hall on December 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The camp is for players ages eight through 18.


    Patriot head coach Luther Bramblett, the winningest coach in St. Catharine history with a 331-124 record, and his coaching staff will instruct campers in all fundamentals including hitting, pitching and defense.

    Officially it is listed as an exhibition game on the St. Catharine schedule. But the outcome of Saturday’s game at Tusculum College (Tennessee) was huge for J.T. Burton’s team. As the Patriots prepare for the beginning of the Mid-South Conference schedule this week (see related story), they received a real boost with a 76-49 win over the Pioneers who are a NCAA Division II team.
