The Washington County Commanderettes softball team recently held their annual awards banquet. Awards were handed out for the 2009 season.
Pooh Railey was named the team’s MVP. She led the squad in batting average (.441), slugging (.673), RBI (27) and tied with Olivia Thompson for doubles (9).
Amber Taylor was chosen by her teammates to receive the Commanderette Award. Taylor also received the senior academic award.
