Girls gear up for season

With the snow and rain out of the region, the Washington County Commanderettes are gearing up for a season of thrills and chills. The young team, which features a number of underclassmen, had its first game of the season rained out, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from practicing in the new high school’s gym last week.

Commanderettes head coach Christy Baker said they hope to improve on their season record this year. In 2014, they finished 10-16.
