Commander football clinches playoff berth

With a 47-14 win over the Fort Knox Eagles (0-9, 0-6) last Friday night, the Washington County Commander football team (3-5, 3-3) clinched a berth in the Class 2A playoffs.

WC was able to pull off this feat with a dominant ground game that accumulated 406 total yards. The Commanders were led by sophomore Garrett Floyd, who had 251 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries for an average of 11.4 yards per carry.
