  • Bat Pats split with Georgetown, go 3-1 for the week

     

    You win some, you lose some – and some are rained out. For the St. Catharine College baseball team, they got some of each last week. After sweeping visiting Oakland City in a doubleheader on Wednesday, the Bat Pats split a twin bill with conference-foe Georgetown on Saturday, before getting washed out of the series finale on Sunday.

    Rachel Marie Cox and John Wesley McDaniel were wed at 6 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Louisville, Ky.

  • Lay - Mudd engagement


    Angela and Tony Lay of Willisburg announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Andrea Lay, to Stephen Mudd, son of Ona and Steve Mudd of Springfield.

    Lay is a 2004 graduate of Washington County High School and a graduate of St. Catharine College. She is employed at Sansbury Care Center at St. Catharine.
    Mudd is a 1998 graduate of Washington County High School. He is employed at Mago in Bardstown.

  • Hagan - Hunt engagement


    Mickey and Linda Blanford of Springfield announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Debbie Blanford Hagan of Springfield, to Joseph Dean Hunt of Lebanon, son of Gene and Martha Hunt of Lebanon.

    Hagan is employed at INFAC North America in Campbellsville. Hunt is employed at On Time Courier in Lebanon.
    The wedding will take place at Mt. Washington Baptist Church in Raywick, Ky. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 3 p.m.
    The reception will follow at St. Joe Hall.
    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

  • BIRTH - Carrico: It’s a boy!


    Wesley and Heather Carrico of Springfield announce the birth of their son at 8:53 a.m. Jan. 26, 2012 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.

    Elijah Andrew Carrico weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches in length.
    Maternal grandparents are Bruce and Marcia Roby of Hancock County, Ky.
    Paternal grandparents are Forrest and Faye Carrico of Springfield.
    Great-grandparents are Leo and Regina Carrico, Charlotte and Richard Smith, Elizabeth and Anselm Bickett, Robert and Ora Myrl Roby.

  • BIRTH - Sims: It’s a girl!


    Ronald F. and Jessica L. Sims of Lebanon announce the birth of their daughter on Feb. 29, 2012 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

    Marleigh Ann Sims weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces.
    She was welcomed home by two brothers, Michael and Dakota Sims.
    Maternal grandparents are Pat and Marty Wheatley.
    Paternal grandmother is Beverly Sims.
    Marleigh Ann has two brothers, Michael and Dakota Sims.

  • BIRTH - Thomas: It’s a boy!


    Houston Thomas Milburn and Cheyenne F. LeMay announce the birth of their son on Feb. 17, 2012 at 9:52 a.m.

    Brayden Thomas weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19.25 inches in length.
    Milburn is a student at Washington County High School and LeMay is a student at Jessamine High School.
    Maternal grandparents are Dale LeMay and Shirley McCoy of Nicholasville.
    Paternal grandparents are Jr. and Nichole Milburn.
