Emergency personnel were called to the scene of an accident on KY 150 just after 10 p.m. Saturday night. The accident was determined by Kentucky State Police Trooper Christopher Saunders to be a hit-and-run. It happened near the Washington/Nelson County line at Fredericktown Park. According to Saunders’ report, Erin Karr, 21, of Bardstown, was driving a white 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix. She was traveling east when an unknown vehicle pulled out into the center of the road and stopped. Karr struck the vehicle in the rear end, and her vehicle went over an embankment, coming to rest near a softball field. The unknown vehicle left the scene. Karr was taken to Flaget Hospital in Bardstown and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Saunders was assisted by Trooper Jonathan Houk, as well as Washington County Fire, EMS, and rescue squad members. The investigation continues.
