The Isaiah House Recovery Center in Willisburg recently received a $5,000 grant from the Kentucky Social Welfare Foundation. The grant, along with an anonymous matching grant of $5,000, will be used to purchase a new phone system for the 82-bed center, which provides residential treatment for individuals struggling with addiction and alcoholism.

The new phone system is a critical need at Isaiah House due to its facility’s growth since opening in Willisburg in 2007.

The Kentucky Social Welfare Foundation supports organizations that improve the standard of living and opportunities among poor, sick, unfortunate, and vocationally handicapped residents of the state. Preference is given to rural areas, small towns and areas of special need.

“The Isaiah House is deeply grateful for the Foundation’s confidence in our program and its willingness to support addiction recovery in Kentucky,” Executive Director Mark LaPalme said. “The grant will make a tremendous difference in our ability to operate an efficient and high quality program.”
