Mr. Lucian Sammy Stone, age 58, of Pearl Harbor Lane, Springfield, passed away at 5:20 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville.

He was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on July 29, 1953 to the late Otha H. and Sally Ray Staton Stone.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former employee of the Springfield Redrying Company.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Rose Marie Elery Stone, on August 10, 2007, three brothers, Ralph Edward, Joseph Lewis and Homer William “Pete” Stone and four sisters, Eldora Gerton, Mary Helen Murray, Geraldine Stone and Anna Lea Railey.
Survivors include, three step-sons, James Isaiah Keene, Jr. of Bardstown, Phillip Dewayne Keene (Carol) of Louisville and Jeffrey Todd Keene of Shelbyville; four step grandchildren; one step great-grandson, three brothers, Otha H. Stone, Jr. (Jo) of Shelbyville, Charles Ray Stone of Springfield and Rev. Harold Stone (Kaye) of Elizabethtown and three sisters, Louella Johnson of Bardstown, Betty Booker of Springfield and Nellie C. Darden of Louisville.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 14 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Tuck, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Columbia, officiating.
Burial was in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Robert Epps, David Yocum, Marcus Yantis, Richard Railey and Ralph Stone.
Casket bearers were Stephen Newby, Andre Stone, Anthony Baker, Kenneth Johnson, Terry Thompson and Marion Stone.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
