A dog bite that occurred inside the city limits has one family concerned over what happens to animals after such an incident.

Aaliyah Baker, 7, was attacked by a neighbor’s dog, according to her mother, Amanda.

“The dog bit her in the face, was going for her throat, thankfully didn’t get the grip he wanted and she was able to run away,” Amanda Baker said.

Baker said prior to the incident, her daughter was in the backyard playing with two girls that live nearby.
