Springfield woman charged with assault in alleged stabbing

A Springfield woman is facing assault charges after police say she stabbed her boyfriend in the leg.

Elisia Saquichomo, 22, was arrested early July 23 by Springfield Police and is charged with second-degree assault and failure to appear. 

The alleged victim was taken to the hospital.

According to police records, units were called to a home on Perryville Road in response to a 911 call late the night of July 22.

Child services was called to the home.

Saquichomo is detained in the Marion County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond, according to jail records.
