    Eunice Mae Drury Robinson, 88, widow of William Thomas Robinson, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Heritage Hall Health Care Center.

    She was born in Washington County to the late William Edgar and Erma Mae Driskell Drury. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church and the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class.

    Ronald Nelson Rinehart, age 71, of Jimtown Road, Springfield, passed away at 6:10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.

    A native of Washington County, he was born on Nov. 19, 1940 to Ray Mills and Mary Helen Pinkston Rinehart.
    He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, a retired employee of the International Harvestor Company, owned and operated Rinehart’s Plumbing and was a member of the J. Speed Smith Masonic Lodge # 298 at Willisburg.

    Connie Cocanougher Johnson, age 62, of Bloomfield Road, Springfield, passed away at 9:14 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.

    She was born in Lebanon, Ky. on May 15, 1949 to the late William C. and Ruby Christerson Cocanougher.
    She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, a 1967 graduate of Washington County High School and a retired employee with 27 1/2 years of service with the Kentucky Department of Social Services and the Department of Economic Security.

    Joseph Edgar Mattingly, age 59, of Pottsville Road, Springfield, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington.

    Born Aug. 18, 1952 in Lebanon, he was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Robert and Martha Ann Mattingly; and two brothers, Donald Ray and William David Mattingly.
    He had been an employee of the former Wheaten Plastics in Springfield for over 20 years, was a former Washington County deputy sheriff under Bruce Burkhead and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam era.

    Laura Della Young Mays, age 81, of South Spalding Ave., Lebanon, formerly of Washington County, died at 9:07 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at the residence of her daughter in Louisville.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Monk and Sally Mary Alice Montgomery Young.
    Survivors include one son, Joseph Mays, of Lancaster; and four daughters, Laura Reed and Ella Keene, both of Bardstown, Mary Edelen of Louisville and Sarah Fields of Danville.

    Beverly Jean Rogers Carey, age 71, of Willisburg, passed away at 9:35 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

    A native of Buffalo, N.Y. she was born on Feb. 3, 1941 to Robert and Beulah Pearl Valentine Rogers.
    She was of the Quaker faith, a retired bus driver and was preceded in death by her father, Robert Rogers.

    Michael DeWayne Grigsby Sr., 57, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 in Louisville.

    He is survived by his wife, Betty Rose Grigsby, Shelbyville; daughter, Kristie Elaine Moctezuma, Cropper; son, Michael DeWayne Grigsby Jr.,  Shelbyville; mother, Louise Grigsby, Shelbyville and father, Sidney Grigsby Jr., Shelbyville.     
    Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at the Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with Sister Linda Morgan officiating.
