    Jack M. Scruggs, age 78, of Main Street, Willisburg, passed away at 7:21 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home.

  • Alice Frances Pankey, 71


    Alice Frances Pankey, age 71, Harrodsburg, widow of William Thomas Pankey, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.

    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bill Perkins. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
    Pallbearers were Jimmy Caudill, David Bottoms, Richard Steele, Steve Proctor, David Roberts, Chris Horn, Ben Sharp, Casey Spencer, Ronald Trayner, Logan Clayton, Patrick Horn and Chad Pankey.

    Joseph William  ‘Jody’ Linton Jr , age 42, of Lincoln Park Road, Springfield, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 in the emergency room of Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
    He was born on May 6, 1969 in Lebanon, Ky.

    Charles Eugene Coulter, age 83, of Scruggs Lane, Willisburg, passed away at 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at his residence.

    A native of Washington County, he was born on Oct. 21, 1928 to the late Cretes and Margie Curtsinger Coulter.
    He was a member of the Willisburg Baptist Church, a retired farmer raising tobacco and registered Charlois cattle and was associated with the burley tobacco market for over 60 years starting with Bishop Brothers Warehouses and retired from of the New Farmers Tobacco Warehouse, formerly in Springfield.

    Benedict Simms Haydon, D.M.D., age 47, of Louisville, formerly of Springfield and Bardstown, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Oaklawn Nursing Center in Louisville.

    Born Nov. 29, 1964 in Lebanon, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Robertson Haydon, June 29, 1994.
    He was a dentist, having his own practice, Haydon Family Cosmetic Dentistry in Louisville.
